White Castle is launching a 20-slider carryout box today, targeted to families and smaller group get-togethers.

The Crave Clutch fills the gap between the chain’s 10-slider sack and 30-slider Crave Case. Available for a limited time, the new packaging is clearly aimed at gatherings in the age of COVID-19.

“The Crave Clutch has been something we’ve been working on behind the ‘Castle walls’ for a while,” Jamie Richardson, VP at White Castle, said in a statement. “Faced with the pandemic, we decided that now is an ideal time to introduce this new size of Slider packaging.”

The Crave Clutch bundle includes 20 Original Sliders and four small fries. The price ranges from $18.79 to $21.99, depending on locale.

The new packaging is designed to look like a retro boombox. As a tie-in, White Castle is promoting the launch with an Instagram campaign, asking customers to share the title of a song they would most like to listen to while eating the chain’s iconic sliders.

This is the first new packaging the chain has created since the introduction of the 100-slider Crave Crate in 2004.
