McDonald’s franchisees disagree with corporate on all-day breakfast

Some McDonald’s franchise owners say the rollout of all-day breakfast has been rife with problems—slowing speed of service, diminishing check averages and adding confusion in the back of house, Business Insider reports.

"All-day breakfast is a non-starter,” wrote one franchisee in response to a survey by financial analyst Mark Kalinowski, as reported by Business Insider. “We are trading customers down from regular menu to lower-priced breakfast items. Not generating new traffic."

McDonald’s corporate response has been on the opposite side of the spectrum, lauding last week’s rollout as a success. As Restaurant Business noted Thursday, the company said all-day breakfast has been a shot in the arm to sales.
