The commitment signals to guests that the restaurant has publicly declared its dedication to food safety.

Restaurants are signing the ServSafe Dining Commitment. When patrons see the ServSafe Dining Commitment logo on a restaurant website, menu, or door, they have the assurance that the restaurant has publicly declared its dedication to food safety. Restaurants who make the pledge focus on four key areas:

1. Adherence to the National Restaurant Association COVID-19 Operating Guidance and/or your corporate brand guidelines. Corporate brand guidelines should be based on the FDA and CDC’s COVID-19 recommendations.

2. Adherence to the laws and guidelines of your state and local municipalities.

3. Having a minimum of one person per location with a valid ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification (best practices for all managers)

4. Having 75% of all employees trained as a ServSafe Food Handler and ServSafe’s COVID-19 Training (free).
