PFG acquires All Kitchens; to operate as part of new groups division

ID NEWS--Performance Food Group (PFG), Richmond, VA, parent of Pocahontas Foods USA, has acquired the assets of All Kitchens of America, Boise, Idaho. The two groups represent $18.7 billion in aggregate sales generated by 304 distributor locations.

Part of the recently dissolved Foresight Partners alliance with Federated Foodservice (ID Management Report, 8/29/02), All Kitchens will function independently in a new groups division of PFG. This $22-billion division will include Pocahontas Foods USA, Richmond, VA; All Kitchens, Afflink Business Solutions, Tuscaloosa, AL; and Bakery Distributors of America, Richmond, VA. All Kitchens will maintain its Boise headquarters and identity, with its own sales and marketing teams.

All Kitchens' group within a group, Independent Marketing Alliance (IMA), will continue to function as part of All Kitchens. (This is a procurement, marketing and development arm composed of four All Kitchens distributors--Allen Foods, Inc., St. Louis; CONCO Food Service, Metairie, LA; The IJ Company, Knoxville, TN; and Reinhart Foodservice, LaCrosse, WI.)

Pat Haas will continue as president of All Kitchens. Other staff appointments will be announced later.
