Ruth’s Hospitality Group has promoted Chief Branding Officer Cheryl Henry to president and COO of the fine-dining company, which is parent to the Ruth’s Chris steakhouse brand.

Henry has held a variety for roles at the company since joining Ruth’s nine years ago, and will add IT, human resources and everyday operations to her list of responsibilities, the company said.

“In every challenge Cheryl has undertaken, she’s created great success and demonstrated the leadership skills essential to her new and expanded role,” Ruth’s Hospitality Group CEO Michael O'Donnell said in a statement. "I look forward to continuing my work with Cheryl, our outstanding and long-tenured leadership team, as well as our franchise community, as we continue to grow the brand of Ruth’s Chris Steak House.”

The restaurant company is in the midst of a multiyear revamp effort, having rolled out its “Ruth’s 2.0” modernization initiative to all company-owned Ruth’s Chris units earlier this year.
