Starbucks’ new mysterious Chicago location might bring Starbucks’ Reserve coffees and a new design to a restaurant-packed section of the city.
The 3,100-square-foot store will not be another Roastery and Tasting Room like the specialized units opened in and planned for Seattle and New York City, respectively, despite a 2014 pledge to open 100 of the high-end coffee cathedrals, the chain confirmed. But the unit will promote Starbucks’ exclusive, high-ticket Reserve coffees, reported Crain’s Chicago Business, which quoted sources described as being close to the chain.
Starbucks is expected to release more details about the space in coming months.
