Del Taco has promoted its current president and chief brand officer to CEO of the QSR brand.

John Cappasola will begin his new role on July 7, the Mexican chain said, after the resignation of current CEO Paul Murphy. Murphy is relocating to Denver, according to Del Taco, which is headquartered in Lake Forest, Calif.

Cappasola—who has been with the chain since 2008, serving at that time as vice president of marketing development—will also assume Murphy’s role on Del Taco’s board of directors.
