Cinnabon, known for its signature fresh-baked cinnamon rolls that fill malls and airports with tempting aromas, launched its first-ever non-cinnamon treat for summer.
The Atlanta-based chain introduced Chocolate BonBites, a chocolatey take on its popular bite-sized cinnamon rolls.
The limited-time item is baked with Cinnabon’s classic sweet dough, layered with rich chocolate on the inside and topped with both chocolate frosting and the chain’s signature cream cheese frosting.
The Chocolate BonBites are available nationwide at Cinnabon locations as well as Maverick and Pilot Flying J Travel Centers and through Cinnabon’s mobile app and online delivery partners.
“We’re a bakery-inspired brand, and that gives us the permission to experiment and get creative with new and popular dessert flavors, such as chocolate, within our treats,” Michael Alberici, Cinnabon’s VP of marketing, said in a statement. “We know chocolate is a classic, familiar flavor that Cinnabon fans love, and we are confident that guests nationwide will enjoy new Chocolate BonBites, too, no matter the occasion—whether it’s a summer gathering or an anytime chocolate craving.”
Chocolate BonBites can be purchased in four- or 16-count packs, starting at $4.79.
Customers can extend their chocolate experience with the chain’s new summer beverage offer—the MochaLatta Chill. The icy drink is a refreshing blend of chocolate and coffee.
Cinnabon ranks No. 159 in the 2022 Technomic Top 500 Chain Restaurant Report, growing sales 56.9% year over year.
The concept has over 1,200 franchised locations worldwide, focusing on shopping malls, travel centers, train stations, airports and other high-traffic venues.
