Fiesta Restaurant Group, parent company of Pollo Tropical and Taco Cabana, announced Monday it has hired industry veteran Hope Diaz as the company’s chief marketing officer.

Diaz, most recently global chief marketing officer for Popeyes, has also worked as North American head of marketing communications for Burger King.

“We are thrilled that Hope has joined Fiesta,” President and CEO Richard Stockinger said in a statement. “She possesses outstanding leadership capabilities and brings to us significant experience and expertise in marketing and brand analytics, which she previously utilized to successfully evolve Popeyes’ and Burger King’s brand identities.”

Last month, Fiesta Restaurant Group announced it had hired Dirk Montgomery, previously CFO of Hooters International and Bloomin' Brands, as its chief financial officer.
