IFMA announces 2019 Silver Plate winners

One Gold Plate winner will be selected from the honorees in the annual ceremony recognizing the stars of the foodservice industry.

The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) announced the winners of its 2019 Silver Plate awards, honoring the best operators in the foodservice industry.

This year’s restaurant industry winners are:

Independent restaurants/multiconcept operators: Sam Facchini and John Arena, Metro Pizza

Full-service chain: Beverly Lynch, Golden Corral

Limited-service chain: Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems Inc.

The award also honored foodservice operators from hotels, healthcare, schools, and business and industry.

One of the Silver Plate winners will be selected by a jury to receive IFMA’s Gold Plate Award. The 65th annual Gold & Silver Plate Awards celebration takes place May 18 in Chicago.

Last year’s Gold Plate Award winner was Gene Lee, president and CEO of Darden Restaurants.
