Red Mango owner Brix names Craig Erlich CEO

He's given credit for expanding product offerings and focusing on remodels.

Brix Holdings, the Dallas-based owner of Red Mango and other chains, on Monday named Craig Erlich the company’s new CEO.

Erlich had been the company’s president and chief operating officer since 2016 and had been with Brix since 2013.

Brix operates Red Mango, Smoothie Factory, RedBrick Pizza Kitchen Cafe, Greenz and Souper Salad. Before joining the company in 2013, Erlich had been with CVS Pharmacy and the specialty retailer Jo-Ann Stores.

Brix gives Erlich credit for establishing advisory groups of franchisees at its brands as well as launching juices at Red Mango and Smoothie Factory. He also led development of new store designs for many of the concepts.

Combined, the company's chains have more than 250 locations, including 200 for Red Mango. Smoothie Factory has 25, Souper Salad has more than 20 and RedBrick Pizza has eight. The company did not have a CEO before Erlich was promoted.

“I look forward to coordinating all of the resources of the company to achieve our growth objectives and to better support our franchisees,” Erlich said in a statement. “We continue to push the boundaries of our better-for-you category with a fantastic team in place.”
