Taco Bell to again offer ‘all of America’ free tacos

Taco Bell is returning its popular “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” promotion, bringing back its promise of free tacos for the whole nation.

Via the promotion, which is tied to the World Series, Taco Bell will offer free Doritos Locos Tacos to guests on the afternoon of Nov. 1. The stipulation: A baseball player must steal a base by the second game of the World Series. If a base is not stolen until the third game in the series or later, Taco Bell units will offer the taco deal on Nov. 7.

“For the sixth year, a stolen base in the World Series will bring free tacos to America, along with the title of ‘Taco Hero’ for that one player who makes it happen,” Marisa Thalberg, Taco Bell’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “It’s something for which we can all feel good cheering, no matter which team you support.”
