Shake Shack unveils a new LTO burger

Shake Shack has beefed up its burger list with a new limited-time offering, The Roadside Burger, the company announced Monday.

Known for a streamlined menu with few frills, the burger concept has recently been diversifying its offerings. Earlier this month, it debuted The ChickenShack, a fried-chicken sandwich, on the menu at its three Brooklyn, N.Y., locations.

The Roadside Burger pays homage to the roadside hamburger stands of yesteryear, the company said, with toppings that include cheese and caramelized onions simmered in bacon and beer.

“The beer and bacon caramelized onions bring out even more depth of flavor and juiciness to our delicious flat-top griddled burgers,” Shake Shack Culinary Director Mark Rosati said in a statement.

A single burger sells to customers for $6.19, while a double goes for $8.99.
