Subway tries streamlined guest-loyalty set-up

Subway sandwich shops in a part of Canada are trying a new customer-loyalty set-up that tabulates customer visits via the in-store WiFi network. Members earn their reward points by logging onto the network rather than by presenting a card or providing a membership number.

To introduce the new system, Subways in northern Ontario are offering a free six-inch sub to any customer who logs onto the stores’ WiFi.
