Antonucci

MONTEREY, CA (March 24, 2011)—PRO*ACT, America's leading fresh produce supplier to the foodservice industry, is pleased to announce that Antonucci’s Wholesale Produce & Seafood has joined its national distribution network.

Antonucci’s supplies fresh produce, seafood and other specialty items from a 28,000-square-foot, third-party-inspected distribution center in Gloversville, N.Y., outside of Albany. Now under the sole ownership of John Antonucci, who cofounded the company with his father Louis in 1982, Antonucci’s has 45 full-time employees and a fleet of 18 trucks that deliver to foodservice and retail customers in a 150-mile radius of Albany.

“We started our company from scratch and we’ve come a long way in the past 28  years. I’m confident that our affiliation with PRO*ACT, through its purchasing programs, premium products and culture of knowledge sharing will take us to the next level,” says John Antonucci. “The people at PRO*ACT have so much industry insight and positive energy. We’re excited to be a part of it.”

Lloyd Ligier, Vice President of Business Development at PRO*ACT, says, “Antonucci's is a great independent success story and we’re confident they’ll be a strong addition to the PRO*ACT distribution network. Their drive to continue growing and improving their business is strong, as is their focus on quality. We look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership.”
