Velvet Taco is treating college-age fans to a selection of menu items gently priced to fit their budgets.

Starting Monday, students at campuses in Norman, Okla. and Lubbock and College Station, Texas, can order up seven new tacos and sides at prices that range from $4-$4.50. Menu prices at the 35-unit Velvet Taco, known for its outside-the-box weekly taco features, usually run from $6.15-$8.15 per taco, depending on the filling.

The Dallas-based chain is also inviting locals to enjoy the menu, which is geared to pre-game get togethers, after parties and anytime eating.

On offer are five tacos with Gen Z appeal, including the Burger & Fries filled with queso blanco, cheddar and spicy ketchup in addition to a smashed burger and fries; Chicken Tenders & Mac ‘n Cheese with queso blanco and red chile aioli; and Chicken Tenders with corn pico, avocado crema and cheese blend—all made with flour tortillas.

On the lighter side is Chicken & Avocado Salad in a lettuce wrap, and for that morning after partying hard, the meaty Hangover Breakfast—slow-cooked Angus brisket, pulled pork, peppered bacon, crispy potatoes, egg and cheese in a flour tortilla.

Sides include Brisket Mac ‘n Cheese and a Burger Quesadilla. All are available for dine-in customers and online or app orders.

"We knew our guests in Lubbock, Norman, and College Station were ready for an exclusive menu with some innovative taco creations.," said Venecia Willis, director of culinary for Velvet Taco. "When we created this menu, we were inspired by the same scratch cooking preparations as our core menu items, infused with the nostalgia of what college students crave."

The three college-area locations are also offering a Happy Hour Menu every day from 2-6 p.m. and all day Tuesdays with drink and taco specials. The Happy Hour lineup is only available for dine-in guests and drinkers must be over 21.

Both the discounted tacos and Happy Hour Menu will run indefinitely at the three campus-area locations.
