Coolgreens promotes VP to president and COO

Todd Madlener has been with the growing fast-casual chain since 2018.

Health-focused chain Coolgreens has promoted its vice president of operations to president and COO, the company announced Tuesday.

Todd Madlener joined the fast-casual concept in 2018 after working for Mad Greens and PB&J Restaurants. He spent more than two decades with Red Robin Gourmet Burgers.

“He has made such a huge impact with our team since joining us,” Coolgreens CEO Robert Lee said in a statement. “He has brought a wealth of industry experience to our brand and taught us what it is like to have a truly positive and supportive culture. His commitment to our employees and guests is an example for all of us.”

Since joining the company, Madlener has worked to reduce turnover while growing sales and cutting operational costs, according to the Oklahoma City-based company.

Coolgreens was founded in 2009 and currently has nine units.
