Applebee’s has launched a new catering program in time for the holiday season, with some of the 30 selections priced under $10 per head, given a six-person minimum.

Orders can be placed up to two hours before the desired pickup time, or as far as 14 days in advance. Currently, only to-go offers are available through internet ordering. Restaurants have the discretion of delivering larger orders, but arrangements have to be made ahead of time via direct contact with the store, with no guarantee that every unit will provide the service.

The food is presented in heat-holding packaging intended to keep the order hot enough to serve as-is, without a loss of flavor, Applebee’s said in announcing the service. The containers are microwave-safe and can be used in combination with chafing dishes and heating canisters to keep the food hot for an extended time.

Beverages are offered in a gallon bag. Ice is provided with each batch of iced tea, and for any other beverage upon request.

Food selections on the catering menu include Riblets ($79 for an order that feeds six to eight), baby back ribs ($89), chicken fajita rollups ($49), chicken wonton stir fry ($39.99) and mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders ($66.99).
