Piada Italian Street Food on Tuesday joined the subscription trend—or in this case, the chain is launching a “Stickscription” deal.
For $6.99 per month, subscribers can get a free Piada Stick and regular fountain drink each day of that month with the purchase of an entrée. Piada Sticks are made with the fast casual's signature dough and filled with Parmesan or pepperoni, sprinkled with cheese and served with a creamy Parmesan dipping sauce as a side dish. On their own, sticks are $2.99 and a fountain drink would be $3.49.
“Our fans have been asking for a Piada Stick Subscription, and we’re thrilled to finally be able to offer it,” said Matt Harding, Piada’s senior vice president of culinary and menu innovation, in a statement. “The Stickscription is a great value since it pays for itself after only one visit and provides subscribers with a delicious and satisfying side that can be enjoyed with their choice of entrée.”
The offer is redeemable at any of Piada’s 50 locations, and guests can sign up online or through the app.
The subscription trend has been led by fast-casual chains like Panera Bread and Sweetgreen. Panera has said members of its Unlimited Sip Club ($11.99 per month for unlimited self-serve drinks) account for more than 25% of transactions. Sweetgreen offers the $10 per month Sweetpass that gives members $3 off their daily order, priority support, delivery perks and other exclusive experiences.
