Stroud Named President of Sysco Toronto

Stroud, who most recently served as vice president, corporate multi-unit accounts and Sygma Canada operations, will assume his new duties effective immediately.

Stroud, 47, has served in the foodservice industry for nearly 25 years, beginning in 1982 as a delivery associate for Burgess Wholesale, a division of Sobey's, Inc., in Canada. He progressed through a variety of sales and management positions with that company before being named general manager of its Kingston, ON, operation in 1991.

In April 2002 Sysco acquired Sobey's foodservice operations, Serca, and Stroud continued as general manager at its Kingston subsidiary. He was promoted to his current position in 2005.

Stroud is a native of North Bay, ON. He and his wife, Shireen, have three children and will relocate to the Toronto area in the near future.
