ID NEWS: IFDA to host Capitol Hill visit for UniPro members

The International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), Falls Church, VA, will host 85 members of the UniPro buying and marketing group during a special trip to Capitol Hill this Tuesday, September 23, during the Atlanta-based group's purchasing conference in Washington, DC.

It is the first time that IFDA will provide this service to a buying group, according to David French, IFDA's senior vice president of government relations.

The UniPro distributors plan to discuss several issues of importance with their legislative representatives, including permanent death tax repeal, protection for the food industry against obesity lawsuits, and legislation that authorizes national organizations to offer health plan benefits to members.
