Charcuterie boards and wine move La Madeleine into a later daypart

The breakfast-brunch concept is testing the new food and drink options in six Texas locations to encourage guests to gather at the cafes at different times of day.

La Madeleine's new menu embraces brunch all day

The menu rollout is part of the fast-casual bakery-cafe chain's "Ignite the Joy" transformation plan, which CEO John Dillon said is showing traction in growing sales and traffic.

Behind the Menu: The Dallas-based bakery cafe offers fresh takes on brunch classics along with original creations, all with a touch of French flair.

Johnson had previously served as chief administrative officer for the French bakery-café chain’s parent, Le Duff America.

La Madeleine is testing Walmart units. As big chains like McDonald’s and Subway leave their retail units, the French bakery/cafe brand plans to open 10 Express restaurants this summer.

The chain’s CEO said the new design represents the future of the brand.
