Chicken Salad Chick shakes up its C-suite

The growing fast-casual brand elevates several current leaders.

Chicken Salad Chick has promoted several top-level executives at the growing fast-casual brand.

Among the promotions:

Jim Thompson becomes chief operating officer. Thompson has been with Chicken Salad Chick since 2013, working to build the company’s operations and training programs, as well as management and purchasing systems, as it grew from six to 160 units.

Tom Carr becomes chief marketing officer. Carr joined the chain as head of the marketing department in 2016. He will continue to help the chain grow, after working with it to reach four years of consecutive same-store sales growth.

Terry McKee becomes chief development officer. McKee has worked to expand the chain throughout the Southeast, Midwest and Texas as vice president of real estate and store development since 2015. He will continue to be responsible for site selection and construction.

Carrie Evans, who joined the company in 2016 as director of franchise development has been named vice president of franchise development. Evans previously worked as director of development for Nothing Bundt Cakes and senior manager of franchise development for Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes.

Mary Lou Atkins, who started last year as human resource director for Chicken Salad Chick, has been promoted to vice president of human resources.
