Starbucks and Amazon consider pivots in their union-pushback strategy

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission will have a new Democratic majority as of July 1. On this week’s episode of the podcast Working Lunch, Joe Kefauver, managing partner of Align Public Strategies, joins Franklin Coley, a partner with the firm, discuss the agenda the commission’s new chair and what it means for employers.

Starbucks also had a bad week with their union woes, losing another round of organizing elections. With the departure of the chain’s CEO, and its general counsel, it looks like the company plans to make a major pivot in its strategy.
