Pro*Act Welcomes Canadian Produce Distributor

MONTEREY, CA (January 22, 2013)Fresh Forward, a produce distributor based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, has joined Pro*Act, a North American fresh produce supplier. Fresh Forward, which late last year changed its name from Northern Light Produce Network, serves customers in Edmonton, Calgary, Central and Northern Alberta, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon.

Founded by Harlan Light in the 1980s, Fresh Forward was purchased by Craig Mackenzie in 2003. “We are proud to be the first Western Canadian member of Pro*Act,” says Mackenzie, who is the company’s president. “Fresh is what we do, so our cultures match up.”
