Dave & Buster’s on Wednesday announced Michael Quartieri as its new chief financial officer.

Quartieri replaces Scott Bowman, who announced his departure from the food-and-games chain last month.

He comes to Dave & Buster’s after serving as CFO and corporate secretary at LiveOne, a publicly traded global platform for on-demand audio, video and podcast-vodcast content in music, comedy and pop culture. Before that, Quartieri was CFO, treasure and corporate secretary at Scientific Games, which supplies gaming products to the lottery and pari-mutuel industries.

“Michael joins us at a great time,” Kevin Sheehan, the chain’s interim CEO, said in a statement. “We have a renewed sense of urgency to bring even more fun to our guests, grow our business and create amazing opportunities.”

Quartieri will assume his new role on January 1.

Dave & Buster’s is still on the hunt for a chief executive officer, following the September retirement of Brian Jenkins. Jenkins had been with the chain for nearly 15 years and became CEO in 2018 after starting with the company as CFO.

Quartieri will be tasked with leading Dave & Buster’s finance, accounting and supply chain organizations, as well as overseeing investor relations.

The chain, which has implemented a number of operational changes since the pandemic, has seen sales slowly rebound as its stores reopen and pandemic restrictions are lifted.

“I am incredibly excited to be joining Dave & Buster’s,” said Quartieri.  “I look forward to adding my expertise to the talented group of team members throughout the organization.  I see tremendous opportunity at Dave & Buster’s and am pleased to help lead the Company’s next phase of growth.”
