Though Gus's opened its first location along a highway in Mason, Tenn., in 1973, it still uses its secret fried chicken recipe that's been in the family for decades. Along with chicken, the chain serves a variety of sides and pies that are baked fresh daily. It now has over 30 locations across the country.
