KFC has combined Cinnabon with its biscuits and has enlisted Chippendales dancers to celebrate.
The Louisville, Ky.-based chicken chain on Thursday announced its new Cinnabon Dessert Biscuits, which will be available from April 29 through June 30 for $1 per biscuit or $3 for a pack of four. Customers can also get a four-pack for free with any 10-piece meal or larger.
The biscuits take a KFC biscuit and top it with Cinnabon’s cinnamon brown sugar glaze and cream cheese frosting.
KFC, which has been getting more attention for its product offerings in recent years thanks to its innovative use of founder Colonel Sanders’ image, has “Colonel-ized” the Chippendales dancers to provide personalized videos for Mother’s Day.
Customers can go to chickendales.com, where they simply select their mom’s name, the state she lives in, and then download the video or share via social channels. “Wish mom a happy Mother’s Day the KFC way by sending her a video of a shirt-ripping, finger-lickin’ performance cooked up by a troupe of hunky KFC Chickendales,” Andrea Zahumensky, chief marketing officer for KFC U.S., said in a statement.
Mother’s Day is a big day for the chicken chain. The company sells about 300,000 meals, including 3 million pieces of chicken and 900,000 servings of mashed potatoes and gravy on the holiday every year. KFC operates about 4,000 units in the U.S.
