Domino’s customers who order online will now be able to keep even closer tabs on their pizza.
The chain has revamped its popular Tracker tool, which allows pickup and delivery customers to follow along as their pizza is being made.
The updated Tracker has a refreshed look along with several new features designed to make it more useful for customers.
- The “order ready” time is now more precise, thanks to DomOS, the chain’s AI-powered operating system.
- iPhone users will be able to see the Tracker on their lock screen, without having to open the app.
- The order stages have been simplified to Placed, Make, Deliver/Pickup and “Mmm!”, and the Tracker shows more detailed information at each stage.
The new Tracker shows customers more details on their order.
Domino’s launched the Tracker in 2008, calling the technology a food delivery first. It arrived amid the rise of mobile phones and online retail, which quickly trained consumers that everything should be trackable.
The Tracker connected to Domino's proprietary Pulse operating system and was said to be accurate within 40 seconds. The chain later added a GPS component that allowed delivery customers to follow their driver along their route.
Consumers have questioned whether the Tracker is a true reflection of their order status or more of an estimate. Domino's says it's the real deal. Today, it uses a combination of real-time inputs by employees and AI to provide even more accurate times.
Since 2008, the Tracker has tracked more than 2.5 billion orders en route to Domino’s becoming the largest pizza chain in the world and a leader in technology. Eighty-five percent of the chain’s U.S. sales now come through digital channels.
The new and improved Pizza Tracker is part of Domino’s brandwide refresh that began late last year. The “Hungry for More” update includes new colors, font and the tagline “Dommmino’s” as well as a new app.
The Ann Arbor, Michigan-based chain has thrived in an otherwise tough market for pizza. Domino’s had a strong year in 2025 and is expecting more growth ahead in 2026. It says it is taking share from competitors like Papa Johns and Pizza Hut.
Pizza chains have faced growing competition from third-party delivery apps that offer some of the same order-tracking technology Domino’s helped pioneer with the Pizza Tracker.
