Del Taco, eager to get its breakfast business back, introduces breakfast tacos

The Mexican fast-food chain is introducing a trio of upgraded breakfast tacos as it banks on customers returning to their routines.

The sandwich chain, which had long struggled with a need to close units, is poised to add the most locations in years after a shift to a new, faster service model.

The sandwich giant didn’t give away the 1 million sandwiches it said it would, angering some operators. But franchisees say sales have been strong, anyway.
