NASCAR launches a virtual restaurant brand

NASCAR Refuel, created in partnership with Virtual Dining Concepts, will offer a menu of racetrack favorites aimed at stock car fans.

The chain revealed a virtual brand, “Little Blue Menu,” set to start in Atlanta and Nashville, but it has also trademarked names for a wing and a burger concept as well as an online grocer.

The online-only concepts will be key to the company's goal of reaching 100% digital transactions, and CEO Noah Glass says they're not going away.

John Peyton, the new CEO of parent company Dine Brands, sees ample room for additions in the brands' "renaissance."

Though a few are already big enough to land on the annual list, they are by nature difficult to track.

Easing dine-in restrictions and It's Just Wings have the casual-dining chain outdoing 2019 results.

It has hired Brian Furano as VP of celebrity and brand licensing to lead the new effort.

Shifting consumer habits have Ordermark CEO Alex Canter bullish on the company's delivery-only concepts, like HotBox by Wiz.

The off-premise-focused outlets will roughly double Nathan's virtual footprint in the U.S. and Canada.
