Since acquiring the fast casual, Inspire Brands, parent of Arby's, Sonic Drive-In and Buffalo Wild Wings, announced last fall it was switching its name from R Taco back to Rusty Taco—reversing a decision by prior management. Inspire said it wants to revive the story of how the founders, Rusty and Denise Fenton, created the concept out of an abandoned gas station. The company also brought on Tim Casey, former president Qdoba Mexican Eats, to lead the Mexican concept known for its fresh ingredients and street taco-inspired menu.
