Salad Station opened its first location in Hammond, La., in 2012. It hit 26 units throughout the South last year and is continuing to expand. The customizable salad chain focuses on locally sourced ingredients that are washed, chopped and served fresh each day. Diners can also create their own pay-by-the-pound salads with over 50 ingredients.
